So, the National Probate Records Centre is listed as a place of deposit under s.4(1) of the Public Record Act 1958 (See: nationalarchives.gov.uk/archives-secto…). It's not clear if this is all of the Centre or certain storage chambers. However, records can't be destroyed without approval.
