Y12 students visited Octopus Energy and engaged with group tasks to learn more about specific job roles within the energy and STEM careers sector. The students then toured the offices and met staff within the different teams, followed by a Q&A session. Harris Federation

After a morning of learning about human brain anatomy, off we went to #ScienceGalleryLondon & the Museum of Life Sciences! Students were particularly excited to check out the new #ArtificialIntelligence exhibit at the Science Gallery 🤖

The DevNeuro Academy led by WP Champion, Leigh, is in full swing. Students are spending a week with ambassadors and expertise in the field to develop their knowledge and understanding and, most importantly, to have fun doing it!

Y10 visit to Royal Holloway University for an English Literature taster day. Students attended a lecture on masculinity in Macbeth, a seminar on monsters in Gothic Literature, and met postgraduate students to learn all about life at university. They left feeling so inspired!📖

Yesterday, Y10 students went to Imperial Uni for a STEM day. They attended talks on pursuing A level science or university as well as the different careers available to STEM graduates. Students also had a tour by a former student who now studies at Imperial Uni! Harris Federation

We had an amazing day at Imperial College London yesterday with Y10 Harris Experience. A big thank you to their widening participation team for facilitating and to all our hardworking teachers for getting students onsite. They really enjoyed the STEM focused day!

A second day visiting The Globe for our Harris Experience Y10s in lovely sunny weather. Our trips have included a tour and interactive workshops focusing on Macbeth. Many thanks to Shakespeare’s Globe and their wonderful practitioners for hosting us!

How would it feel to become a Geologist for a day?
The Geo and Soc Workshop hosted an event at HASU and gave an opportunity for the students to see what Geoscience is all about and to learn about volcanic eruptions.
