Considering the upcoming cyclone season, IFRC personnel visited eight (8) local branches of Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BDRCS) at the cyclone belt of Bangladesh to understand branch level readiness and pre-stocks capacities under cyclone EAP. IFRC-DREF is supporting for scaling-up AA across the globe.

One year has passed since violence erupted in Sudan, resulting in thousands of deaths and displacing as many as 8.6 million people. Despite limited resources, the staff and volunteers of the SudaneseRedCrescent continue to work tirelessly to address the enormous humanitarian needs.

The Lassa fever outbreak in Nigeria has worsened in 2024, with 5,295 cases reported since the start of the year.
In response, Nigerian Red Cross Society HQ, with the support of the IFRC-DREF, will implement actions to reduce the impact and the number of deaths related to Lassa fever.
