Irish 🇮🇪 journalists taking part in an European Commission and European Parliament briefing visit to Brussels got the chance to be at the briefing of Taoiseach Simon Harris TD following his first meeting with President Ursula von der Leyen today 👇

Good first meeting in Brussels this morning with Roberta Metsola Roberta Metsola.
We discussed Gaza, Ukraine and my conversation with Volodymyr Zelenskyy / Володимир Зеленський as well as our priorities for the EU.

Strong 1st meeting with President Ursula von der Leyen.
We had much to discuss including the humanitarian disaster in Gaza and the need for a ceasefire, the situation in Ukraine, agriculture in the EU & our shared priorities.
