I get that standards and data sharing and infrastructure doesn’t sound all that exciting. I get that funders want to fund the next big discovery or cure or treatment. But if we’re to make the most out of those huge, expensive, time-consuming data sets, they need to be reusable.

My #1 complaint about USAJobs is that it doesn't penalize folks who overrate themselves. This leads to a selection bias *against* folks who honestly assess themselves.

It wouldn't take much to implement a post-interview assesment of self-rating accuracy, and track that.
