Last field day with School of Natural Sciences, Trinity College Dublin colleagues and friends in Gran Canaria 🌵🌴🐝
Beautiful first day with School of Natural Sciences, Trinity College Dublin Botany students in Gran Canaria. Today elevational differences in vegatetation, tomorrow, land use (and insects!)
So much fun teaching School of Natural Sciences, Trinity College Dublin #Entomology students some of the methodology behind our papers. Here we're dissecting bumblebee colonies just like we did in our recent nature paper. Yes we found males 🐝 and yes we're sticky 🍯 nature.com/articles/s4158…
Always a pleasure to have a visit from Collie Ennis 🕷🐸 and his beautiful arthropods. This one even managed to sneak its way into my Entomology course, and happily, because look how cool it is! 🤩

These findings follow the European Parliament’s failure to pass legislation that aimed to halve the use of pesticides by 2030.
