NIAID Funding knows this, and I assume is intentional as NIAID only awarded 11 K23 & 11 k08 last year. For a country of 330 million people, the pipeline is 22 ID MDs for career development awards

The American Cancer Society was my first grant as a postdoc and very crucial for the work I’ve been able to do! Postdocs doing cancer research, apply for the fellowship especially since they’ve removed citizenship requirements!
