I met Sir Peter some time ago when I joined ESOTtransplant and was fascinated by his joy, kindness and curiosity. Then I learnt more about him, what he achieved & how important he was; he was one of the pioneers.
Above all, a good man.

So sorry to convey the very sad news of the passing of Professor Kees Dejong who died peacefully yesterday after a long illness. He was a great leader in academic and HPB surgery and a wonderful friend to many. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family ❤️

Today we said cheerio to the longest serving member of the Scottish Liver Transplant Unit ⁦Rosanne Bate⁩ . Appointed in 1992 Rosanne led many of the nursing & later transplant coordination developments. Happy retirement Rosanne you will be missed 🥳🍾❤️

This is a simplistic example I’ve drawn out of venovenous bypass for liver transplantation! From a scrub nurses perspective, this can prove to cause uncertainty so hopefully this makes things a bit clearer for all scrub nurses during liver transplantation. 👇🏼
