Yesterday Ayushman and I published a piece with openDemocracy on the Global Slavery Commission.

Today I got a response from an FOI request which revealed that the UK government is spending 500,000 pounds on the Commission. 1/3

We are signatory to this statement along with HumanTraffickingFdn and 50+ others asking all candidates running for #Mayor to pledge to prioritise modern slavery. There must be a concrete commitment to work on supporting survivors and preventing them from coming to any further harm ⤵️
