We are so glad Borderlands Shakespeare Colectiva co-founders Kathryn Vomero Santos and Katherine Gillen 🍉 could attend #Shax2024 .
We had an incredible time being in a community with so many talented scholars, and we feel honored to have won the SAA Shakespeare Publics Award.
Join us on Friday to talk about Shax and social justice in different institutional contexts! There are so many great essays in this collection edited by Marissa Greenberg and Elizabeth Williamson.
William C. Yes, Ruha Benjamin, “college is not a waiting room to enter the real world.” If this is so, my academic friends, pre-tenure is not a waiting room either. Your silence will not save you. Further, there are greater aspirations than tenure, which does not provide the security you suppose.
It was a joy to be part of this panel and to see so many brilliant friends and colleagues at #SAA2024 . Many thanks to dSTERLINGb for organizing and Dympna Callaghan for facilitating!
