Ask thoughtful questions and you get interesting answers! Casey McQuade, MD, MS Ed. trying to unlock what makes better problem representation (and how we can teach this invaluable skill!)

Why we wrote this paper:
1⃣ Problem representation is 🗝️ to sound clinical reasoning
2⃣ Everybody knows a good PR when they see/hear one, but there's no consensus on what makes 'good' good
3⃣ We wanted to know how to tell expert PR apart from novice PR

Practicing my favorite team sport this week: wards with the MCW IM Chief Residents residents! Today’s non-clinical question is whether rosemary is better sweet or savory. The New York Times Melissa Clark’s rosemary shortbread providing some evidence to jump start our discussion.

Work after maternity leave will be hard but:
- you haven't forgotten how to be a doc
- your baby will be fine and still love you
- you will eventually get it together and love both being a mom + a doc

I’ve never heard of “pre-charting” or “chart-checking” as “pregaming” before, but now I’m SO EXCITED for clinic this week 😎 🔥

I am genuinely excited to give these talks this year. I’m going to learn a ton preparing for them. Honestly my favorite way to learn a topic is to prepare a talk on it.
