It’s always good, but this episode so much so that I had to pause it to transcribe this absolute banger from Sam Adler-Bell, about witnessing people having public mental health crises: “we have no communal norms sufficient to actually respond to people’s anguish in these moments.”
The Know Your Enemy interview with Ronnie Grinberg is fantastic and I came away with it with better appreciation and respect for Diana Trilling.
Matthew Sitman Know Your Enemy This conversation was entrancing. I always multitask while listening to podcasts, always have them on while I do some task or play a game or etc. Around the ten minute mark on this one I just sat down and listened to it, looking straight forward. A wonderful talk.
Unfathomably good episode from KYE (Matthew Sitman & Sam Adler-Bell). I’ve long loved Wiman’s work, and find his relation to poetry very much as mine to theology.

We did a Know Your Enemy on the ADL in September, which in retrospect showed how profoundly ill-suited their priorities are for this moment dissentmagazine.org/blog/know-your…
Some dudes just rolled up the bar I’m watching the Knicks at talking about Diana trilling total Know Your Enemy cultural victory
The last two Know Your Enemy are on topics I find fascinating, the New York Intellectuals and their relationship to masculinity. I have some reflections. Matthew Sitman Sam Adler-Bell Ronnie Grinberg
when you're done listening to The Tortured Poets Department try a triple header of Taylor Swift as social symptom episodes with ours alongside the recent ones from Know Your Enemy and In Bed With The Right and you will attain Absolute Knowledge
This Know Your Enemy episode about Taylor Swift is incredibly interesting on a lot of dynamics going on in the right these days I'm a bit sad it doesn't address more the racialized aspect of the normalcy that Taylor embodies patreon.com/posts/10111167…
After the last couple Know Your Enemy episodes on New York intellectuals and Judaism do I have a used book store find for y’all
Good Know Your Enemy episode on Jewish masculinity, with some good stuff on the insularity and insecurities of left-intellectuals. Sadly the more things change...

From this week's Know Your Enemy: It’s impossible to make sense of the creative and scholarly contributions of the New York Intellectuals — good and bad—without the lens of gender.
