Today, the hosted its 2nd Annual Retirement Celebration Luncheon at FD headquarters.

Today the held a Flag Ceremony at FS 169 in remembrance of Fire Captain Henry H. Flores who passed away on April 8th. 

Captain Flores faithfully served residents for 23 years.

On 4/25, FFs responded to a report of a single-story strip mall fire in the City of Lynwood.  

The IC called for a 2nd alarm resource assignment. There were no reported injuries to civilians or FFs. The cause of the incident is under investigation.

On 4/22, FFs responded to an apartment house fire on S. Vermont Ave. in the City of Gardena. 1 FF & 3 civilians were treated on scene & transported to local area hospitals for further evaluation & treatment.  

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
