May Day is about WORKER POWER.
Weâre standing together to call for #JobBridgeNJ because ALL workers deserve a bridge to good jobs, respect & dignity.
Happy May Day!! âAll New Jersey workers deserve access to good, quality jobs.
How do we get there? Job Bridge!
Let's build New Jersey's economy and ensure no worker is left behind.
#JobBridgeNJ
This yearâs one-house budgets excluded the Unemployment Bridge Program, but the fight for the rights of excluded workers doesnât stop.Â
Weâll continue to demand access to the safety net for ALL NYers â for good. #ExcludedNoMore

.Sen. Stewart-Cousins got it right in the Senate budget proposal. Workers need progressive wage replacement as part of NYâs paid family & medical leave programâso they donât have to choose between their health and their rent.
Thank you Sen. Stewart-Cousins for a NYS Senate budget resolution that reflects a strong commitment to improving paid leave in our state and advancing equity for working families. We urge passage of NY Senator Jessica Ramosâs full S2821B bill in the final budget!

âWhen I was let go from my last job, I didnât qualify for unemployment, which led me to lose faith. Everyone here in this room matters. We deserve to be protected.â

NJDOL met with reps from USDOL Women's Bureau yesterday to discuss NJâs paid family and medical leave programs. CARE Grant recipients were on hand to chat about the grant and how itâs helped raise awareness among underserved communities on access to NJ's benefits and protections.
IfNotNow NYC So meaningful to be marching alongside our longtime friends & partners at LaundryWorkersCenter tonight. From labor rights in NYC to rising up against ethnic cleansing & apartheid in Israel-Palestine, we are arm-in-arm in struggle for safety, justice, and equality for ALL.
~750k workers across NY would be eligible for the Unemployment Bridge Program!
Governor Kathy Hochul & Albany leaders MUST include $500M in budget, & provide workers w/ a $1,200 monthly payment if they lose work, roughly equal to average UI rate offered to workers. #ExcludedNoMore
