As fate would have it, I lived the summer of 1967 in 'The Haight', the infamous Haight-Ashbury section of San Francisco. I guess it's fair to say that I was a #Hippie . I was 20, replete with youthful optimism, long hair and philosophical resolve...and I cherish the memories.

I recall protesting the #VietnamWar & other federal 'Big Brother-isms' during the turbulent 60s. I was also a veteran.
The vast majority of 'us' were scrupulously peaceful. It was a point of honor. A few at violent fringes would cause trouble & that branded us all.

The humidity in Jersey has been hovering at 100% for days. It's brutal. Another drop of water and the sky will become a deluge of drenching. I'd rather sweat in the Sahara or dance in a rainforest than live in this meteorologically ambiguous hell.
