DRAGADEMIA at U-M Library was an author event organized by the Arts Initiative that included giving away 40 copies of Kareem Khubchandani's Decolonize Drag and 40 copies of Larry La Fountain (Lawrence La Fountain-Stokes)'s Translocas. LaWhore Vagistan & Lola von Miramar signed books after their talk & performances!
As part of DRAGADEMIA Lola von Miramar interpreted 'South American Way' by Carmen Miranda as conceived by Marisa Monte, as well as 'Puro Teatro' by the inimitable Cuban diva La Lupe, with lyrics by Tite Curet Alonso. The performance was in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
