And so our long coring campaign in #Chile comes to an end... With over 100 m of #sediment recovered from #lakes Rupanco and Huillinco, it's safe to say we can keep busy for quite some time 👨🏼‍🔬 so excited to analyse these #paleoseismology records 🥳

Oh my word, a prelim. magnitude 7.8 earthquake in southeastern Turkey just now. The epicentre is near to the Syrian border where there is quite a high population density. Even before we get more info, you know this isn’t going to be good. My thoughts are with everyone caught up
