Coming very soon from Patrick Harris and MERINO Trial - a new RCT of #cefiderocol for hospital-acquired BSI, especially in settings of MBLs and other forms of carbapenem resistance.

However, we all clamored for an RCT and along came MERINO Trial to save the day (jamanetwork.com/journals/jama/…)! This prospective RCT (critically a non-inferiority RCT) failed to demonstrate non-inferiority of pip-tazo relative to carbapenems (12/n)
