I was proud to join Met Council and UJO of Williamsburg today for their annual Passover food distribution.

I’m grateful for all the work these organizations do to support families in need, especially ahead of Passover.

The @metcouncil provides countless meals for people of all faiths. New Yorkers depend on their Halal and Kosher (including Kosher for Passover) meals just to get by.

It was an honor to join them and my fellow electeds to pack and deliver food.

The Met Council is the largest Jewish organization in this country devoted to fighting poverty. This morning, I joined them at the Tomchei Shabbos of Queens as they prepared boxes of food to be distributed to help needy families celebrate Passover.

We’re giving out over $9.9 million in kosher for Pesach food this month Met Council.

One of our largest donations is millions of eggs from the Gibber family & Deb El Food. 🙏

Of course, eggs are key part of the Seder & a great protein over the holiday.

I was honored to join UJC to help prepare Passover meals for the LES.

Thanks to NY AG James thousands of struggling families will receive baby packages this week with free baby formula!

Today, I was in Queens to deliver over 4,600 cans of baby formula to Met Council to help families in need.
 
In total, we delivered over 9,500 cans of baby formula to families across the state after we found that Walgreens was price gouging formula during a national shortage.

When I worked for Senator Lieberman, I remember him walking 5 miles to the US Senate, in the worst weather, from his home in Georgetown on Saturdays to attend an emergency vote because he was proudly Shabbos observant.

They literally don’t make them like that anymore.
