Day 3 of Heavy Metal & Global Premodernity kicks off in an hour! We have two panels on paganism & medievalism on either side of a keynote lecture & performance by Dr. Fulya Çelikel Soğancı & her band Listana, performing music inspired by Byzantine empresses!

Day 2 of the conference is in the books. All in all, I’d say it went 99% well today, meaning the 1% that didn’t go well is going to weigh heavily on me for a while, though it probably should.

Day 2 of HMGP2 kicks off at 9am EDT/1pm GMT today.

Today includes our MULTI-LINGUAL SOCIAL HOUR at 11:15am EDT/3:15pm GMT, for attendees to converse in their own language. We’ll have breakout rooms for Spanish, Turkish, German, Italian, Portuguese, French, Greek, & Czech.
