A 2024 blinded, randomised trial adapted the reintroduction step in the diet using powders and found that reintro triggered sx in 85% patients. Sx increased in mannitol and fructans and were the most prevalent triggers. Read more: doi.org/10.1053/j.gast…

You can imagine our surprise when we retested avocado & did not find it was high in sorbitol!
Further research showed that they have a unique sugar profile, including a polyol: perseitol.
