Absolutely loved seeing lots more of our children making some very special memories on this week’s Britain’s Got Talent. So, so lucky to have another opportunity to get involved in our favourite show 5 years after our Golden Buzzer adventures.

New VocAPPulary sheets for our topic this term: Victorians ✨

We used Noun Project for inspiration for icons to represent some of our key words. Now, we can use them throughout our topic to help our learning! 👌🏼

All virtual visits today, firstly to Valley Invicta Primary where Sara Jayne Lednor had won a 'zoom' visit in my last 'Art Shaped' competition. Year 3 asked if I could help with artwork for their latest reading book 'Ice Palace' (by Robert Swindell, with Ben Cort Illustrations) 🤩

The 8 year old had art class after school today & he wanted me to share what he did, since so many people liked his owl painting. This 🍎 & 🍐 was done with pastels & I was pretty much blown away when he showed me.

Workout Fractions 🏋🏻‍♂️

This is a staple favourite for my classes, one suitable for most stages and loads of scope to challenge pupils. Great as a PE warm up or an outdoor maths activity

In #geography we explored the conditions within refugee camps. We used Maslow’s hierarchy to determine whether they meet basic needs or rights.

I was intrigued by political cartoons & how these could be used as #retrieval tasks, worked well ☺️

Playful STEM starter 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Was so impressed with how well my class tackled this one - just a looping video on the board and the boxes of K’nex out on tables and they organised themselves into pairs and got to it 🙌 25 mins all in #playinupperprimary

Year3 are currently learning about the work of Anna Atkins. We have created mono prints, drawings, relief prints and are now using Procreate to produce digital sketches. We’re limiting our colour palette to different types of blue which links to her use of #cyanotypes #iPadart
