As we edge into summer, we're still enjoying the last of the spring #blossom here on the fells above Coniston. These hawthorn, part of the upland woodland pasture, provide the magic combination of pollen, nectar
and seed sources for insects, birds and other wildlife.

We just had to share the beautiful roses decorating the front of Hill Top house this #RoseWednesday Loved by #BeatrixPotter and still admired by so many today.

I spent the afternoon learning about how National Trust operates in the south lakes with the brilliant @NTlakedistrict teams. From operations, to curatorial to farming this is such a huge endeavour managed by passionate & talented people. Thank you for looking after me so well!
