It's the spring and the reed beds are getting very noisy. You almost feel obliged to post at least one picture of a Sedge Warbler. This one was from Cley marshes yesterday.

First light, Salthouse to Cley highlights: SEO, 2 Hen Harrier, Hobby, 4 Marsh Harrier, Bearded Tit, Long-billed Dowitcher, Cattle Egret, Yellow Wagtail, Snipe, LRP, Common Sandpiper, Bar-tailed Godwit, Dunlin, Wheatear, Lesser Whitethroat 😁 NWT Cley Marshes

Oh my goodness we just found a #Wryneck on the fence by the sluice along Beach road at #CleyMarshes #Norfolk spotted by Deric whilst I was photographing a Whinchat!! Quick download pic to phone, unprocessed

...I was half way up the East Bank when news came out about the Wryneck along Beach Road. I had almost gone up there instead to see if I could find a Whinchat, but made the wrong choice. There was a smart male Whinchat there too when I got there.

Had to go into Holt this afternoon, so popped down to NWT Cley Marshes afterwards. First up, this male Bittern appeared in the reeds behind Bishop Hide, grunting briefly before flying off towards the East Bank...

Found this lovely drake Green-winged Teal at Cley NWT this morning. Initially distant at the back of Pat’s it moved around the reserve and eventually gave some better views. NWT Cley Marshes
