Greatly enjoyed Schumann's ode to his marriage 'Myrthen' played to piano perfection at East Riding Theatre by Libby Burgess as part of Beverley's New Paths Music festival. Like his wife Clara I love Widmung the most - here it is as the piano solo she arranged:

In Beverley, stumbled by chance on New Paths Music festival. Wow! Heard 3 glorious concerts - fantastic programming + fab playing. Superb Schumann from Harriet Burns, Alessandro Fisher and Libby Burgess tonight. And great to hear Fenella Humphreys - fond memories of playing St Mary The Boltons !
