New DESI Survey results validate spectacularly that the universe’s expansion is accelerating, probably due Dark Energy. UCL has contributed, with Science and Technology Facilities Council support, to the construction of the DESI optics and to the science analysis. ucl.ac.uk/news/2024/apr/…
It was a pleasure to host Steven Balbus (Department of Physics at University of Oxford ) @UCL for a stimulating ‘Perren Masterclass’ on
‘Pleasant Surprises in #GeneralRelativity ’.
Congratulations Dr. Sunil Mucesh!
Sunil, a PhD student of mine at our UCL CDT Data Intensive Science Data Science programme, has successfully passed his viva! Thanks to Will Hartley (Geneva) for the dedicated co-supervision, and to the examiners Carlton Baugh (Durham) and Nikos Nikolaou (UCL).
