Although domestic workers provide essential services, they rarely have access to rights & protection. Work mostly in isolation and in harsh, unregulated conditions, are underpaid with many facing various forms of abuse ranging from physical to psychological.

Despite several calls from different quarters on @policeNG to #FreeDanielOjukwu because #JournalismIsNotACrime , there has been no official statement from Nigeria Police Force to explain why Daniel is still being detained.

It's been seven days since the arbitrary arrest and continued detention of Foundation for Investigative Journalism (FIJ)'s reporter, Ojukwu Justin Daniel (OJD) by Nigeria Police Force for simply doing his job of holding power to account as a journalist.
