This Friday, the Advisory Committee on the Federal Rules of Evidence will consider Jeffrey Bellin’s proposal to reform Rule 609. Put simply, it’s excellent. And, if adopted, the amendment would constitute the most significant improvement to the Federal Rules in decades.
