If any of these assets belong to individuals linked to serious human rights violations in Syria, at least part of these funds should be repurposed as reparations…

Next Friday I will present a Bill to provide a legal right to consular assistance for British nationals abroad with their human rights infringed on.

Currently, there is no requirement for assistance to be provided.

I hosted a debate to stress the need for this legal right.
