A few springs ago we were lucky enough to have a Treecreeper nest close to the Visitor Centre.

The best afternoon at Minsmere. This stunning male Marsh Harrier dropped into the reeds in front of me along the North Wall. I've never been so close to a Marsh Harrier. A truly thrilling moment. RSPB Minsmere 🌍 RSPB England Suffolksnaps Suffolk Wildlife Trust North East Reserves BBC Wildlife

I went this morning to see the Red backed shrike RSPB Minsmere 🌍 It was on the left in the reserve of the north wall. I went to the beach, walked along the shore line, came up to a tidal cut in the dunes. There I sat out of sight, my patience paid off, it came onto the beach side.

What a day!
A female Red-backed Shrike was found at North Wall this morning, then our guides found a huge White-tailed Eagle flying over the reedbed, which even briefly landed!

I decided to pay a visit today to RSPB Minsmere 🌍 as I had some time to spare. So pleased I did, this absolutely stunning Eider duck drake was seen on the sea off the dunes. It decided to pay a visit to the east scrape. The Eider duck swam twice around the scrape passed east hide.
