Thames can't repay debt. Alternative value of assets (pipes/reservoirs) is low. Logic of capitalism dictates that lenders take a hit.

The perpetual postponement of border checks shows that in a broad sense we haven't left the EU and can never leave the EU. We are part of an integrated European economy, and who knows maybe in 10 years time a timorous Labour party will find the courage to say so

It is not good enough that almost 7 years after Grenfell, only 23% of high-rise buildings over 11 meters have completed their remediation. Labour in government will get a grip of this, speed up the process, and hold those responsible to account.
