After recent rainfall led to flooding in Godney #Somerset , we are enhancing our pumping capability at North Drain Pumping Station with two more submersible pumps, supplementing the fixed assets and other temporary pumps already in place. We will continue to monitor the situation.

On Thursday, I visited the River Cam at #Yarlington to see the new depth-measuring devices that are being installed. A joint initiative between Liberal Democrats councillors & Somerset Rivers Authority, the solar-powered units will send real-time messages & alerts to residents when levels begin to rise.
