The main reason to visit Samphire Hoe this morning was to photograph the Early Spider Orchids, which line the path which parallel’s the railway line.

Last year I broke my leg, it was bad. Samphire Hoe, rather than the Purbeck coast was my destination for Early Spider orchids this year.
I took my mate who has ME and finding orchids in the car park were perfect for her and me!

Spotted at Samphire Hoe this beautiful fox appeared a little tired
Look at those impressive teeth! Often mistaken as carnivores, foxes are omnivores & will eat fruit & berries, small mammals, birds, amphibians... whatever they can find!

She still going! Stonechat ringed as Violet over White by East Kent Wildlife Group has reached 5 years 25 days since ringing and has followed her usual pattern of summering at Samphire Hoe and wintering who knows where?
