Last week we officially launched our year of celebrations for Byron's bicentenary with an event hosted by the Italian Embassy in London. The ceremony was opened by Ambassador Inigo Lambertini with poetry readings by Simon Armitage and Scarlett Sabet.

Lord Byron was instrumental in creating a bond between 🇮🇹 and 🇬🇧 literary worlds and influencing the British perception of Italy. He was an icon of Romanticism and a fascinating figure.
