Great morning spent in a bog! We cannot under estimate the power of our boggy peatlands in carbon sequestration and in enabling biodiversity to flourish.

We even saw frogs, hares, curlews and pheasants 🐸🌿

Climate change is affecting Scottish farming, with extreme weather occurring more frequently. Farming is also Scotland's 2nd biggest source of emissions.
Scottish Government must support farmers to make the transition to sustainable farming.

A new venison subsidy for Scotland? 💡

This bold move could:
🌳 support the deer management needed to allow Scotland's woodlands and peatlands to regenerate.
🍔 create a sustainable venison market that Scotland can be proud of.

Great to hear from Dr Shivali Fifield of Environmental Rights Centre for Scotland at the Scottish Environment LINK fringe this morning talking about the need for access to justice for nature - without the threat of legal action or enforcement we can't hold climate criminals to account properly.
