With less than 10% of plastic being recycled, we need to act now to reduce plastic waste. It was great to check in with some environmental advocates to discuss the importance of restricting single-use plastics and updating our state’s bottle bill.

I was pleased to join the annual Kick Butts Day hosted by the 84 Movement at the State House. It’s exciting to see so many young people coming together to stand against the tobacco and vaping industries and to advocate for positive change in Massachusetts.

Last month, the Stoneham, Wakefield, and Reading/North Reading Chambers of Commerce joined together for their annual legislative breakfast. I was pleased to lead a panel discussion to hear from and answer questions from local, small business owners and advocates.
