We thank our community for their support as we navigate a challenging Provincial EMS system, which has seen an unprecedented increase in call volume!

Despite uncertainties in the provincial EMS system, Your #strathconafirefighters will always be there for our community.

Advanced Life Support members can do some pretty amazing things in the back of an ambulance, like;

• Having a heart attack? We can actually see it on an ECG, consult with a cardiologist and administer a fibrinolytic (clot buster drug) to actually reverse a heart attack!

Your #strathconafirefighters are all fully trained as both Firefighters and Paramedics, meaning we rotate throughout our tour of duty between EMS and Fire Apparatus'

Integrated Firefighters are providing life saving EMS care even when our ambulances are not in our communities.

Thank you to all who attended the 2023 Convocation and Awards Ceremony, honoring our newest graduating class of probationary Firefighters and many other Firefighters receiving service medals for years of serving Albertans.

We do all we can to protect our community, but we can't do our job without sufficient Firefighters and trucks. Except for 2022, there has been no increase in staffing since 2013! In contrast population and call volumes have gone up at an unprecedented rate!
