On this day in 1918, Lord Trenchard announced the formation of the world’s first independent air force. ✈️

Today, 106 years later, the dedication, professionalism, and innovation that we were founded upon remains the same as we continue to fly and fight.

On behalf of the whole of the Royal Air Force, I wish His Majesty The King, our Commander in Chief, all the best for a full recovery.

Congratulations to the three Squadrons that made it to the finals for this year's Merseyside Wing Lees Trophy representative selection. It was a tight competition, but our representative for this year is 90 Sqn RAF Air Cadets Liverpool. Best of luck at the North Region - RAF Air Cadets stage!

The graduates were absolutely amazing and talented. Thank you to the instructors, family and friends in getting them there. A massive congratulations to the graduates 🫡

It was a great conference attended by many WOs and thank you for those who dialled in. The highlight for me was meeting everyone & exchanging ideas and meeting people/organisations who supports us 🫡

This is interesting and concerning. It shows that the Russians likely understand the need to challenge western space capabilities that we rely so wholly upon. This does highlight the need to protect our own space assets in the future.

The key to successful leadership today is influence, not authority.
