Barbara Walters was a trailblazer for women in journalism. Susan Page joined me on Inside Politics to discuss her new book, 'The Rulebreaker', chronicling the life of the first female anchor of a network evening newscast.

In fact, I think Barbara Walters was the first recognizably Jewish person, male or female, to co-anchor a network news show. At the time, that was a concern raised by some network execs when she was pushing for promotion.

What the polls really tell us: This is a close race.

Polls, smolls. Today CNN has Trump up nationally by 49-43%, while CBS has ties in MI, PA, and WI. If CBS is correct, then CNN is almost certainly wrong, and vice versa. RESOLVED, we will ignore polls until after the conventions. And maybe beyond.

From the Chicago Project survey of college students: 56% of Jewish students report feeling in personal danger. 52% of Muslim students report feeling in personal danger. 16% of all students who are not Jewish and not Muslim also report feeling in personal danger.
