A lot of the discussion about my experience at the hospital is claiming it’s not discrimination because I did access care.

But what if the next person shouted at by a security guard is a a Deaf person with a hearing dog who is then physically blocked because they didn’t hear? 🧵

I can remember one instance of discrim in 2020 where I spent 45 mins advocating for my right to have a sign language interpreter in a medical procedure.

Yes, the interpreter was let in eventually, but it was too late, the damage of extreme stress was done.
