1) Kevin H already analysed the within subject carry over effect in the original paper and showed it wasn’t significant
2) They then did a secondary analysis in a preprint.

But says nothing about your uncontrolled n = 1 oreo (+butyrate) v statin study. I wonder if he had the choice to retract just one of those studies which he would choose?
