Very saddened by the death of Peta Murphy MP. She was my local member here in Dunkley. I admired her courage as a politician and her commitment to this electorate. I also appreciated her greatly as a neighbour and friend. She will be greatly missed. Sympathy to Rod and family.

We have always said that we need the Indigenous to let us know what they want and need for their people. In the Uluṟu Statement they did just that. Feeling gutted tonight that the referendum has shown Australia is not ready or open for a Voice to Parliament yet.
