NEW: The US is on track to resettle the most refugees in in 3 decades

The US Refugee Admissions Program has admitted 48,673 refugees in FY2024 so far, State Dept. data shows

This is a sharp reversal from the Trump era, when 11,814 refugees were admitted in all of FY2020
