#SierraLeone has officially launched the introduction and rollout of 550k RTS’S World Health Organization (WHO) vaccine procured by UNICEF with funding from Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance.
The vaccine is available free of charge to children 6 to 23 months.

MoH aims to get the country's youngest residents protected from one of the leading causes of death using ≥ 550,000 doses of Malaria vaccine procured by UNICEF, with funds from Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance.
Earlier today, six-months-old Mariama Jalloh, became the first child to receive the WHO-approved Malaria vaccine in #SierraLeone .
In the coming weeks, the 550k doses of vaccines procured by UNICEF w/ funds from Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, will be rolled out in other parts of the country by MoH.
