As we mark the 30th commemoration of the Genocide against the Tutsi, Alice Urusaro Kareke & Alphonse are in #Sweden , illuminating horrible experiences of Tutsi in 1994. They explored indicators of the premeditation of the Genocide, global ignorance & assistance to the genocidal regime.

The VC Prof. Kayihura Muganga Didas today hosted a delegation from California State University, Sacramento. Discussions focused on possibilities of collaboration between the two Universities, including research, staff and students exchange.

Earlier today the Vice Chancellor Prof. Kayihura Muganga Didas hosted in his office H.E Tri Yogo Jatmiko, Ambassador of Indonesia to Rwanda, resident in Dar es Salaam. The purpose of the courteous visit was to pave way for academic collaboration between UR and top universities from Indonesia.

The University of Rwanda joins Rwandans and the rest of the world for the 30th commemoration of the Genocide against the Tutsi. We honour the lives lost, stand with survivors, and reaffirm our commitment to never forget.

4/6 Stephen Ruzibiza, CEO PSF Rwanda said “We need a university that thinks ahead of the industry, always predicting what the market will need tomorrow. From the private sector point of view we can only offer some feedback to use in polishing the good programs you already have”.

A representative from the Ministry of Labour said that “education should be dictated by the future of work. We want a modern industry driven UR. For example its graduating motor vehicle engineers should be able to repair electric”.
