Remembering Ivan Mauger who passed away OTD in 2018. The ultimate professional & a rider who won & gave so much to the sport. In my opinion, the greatest of all time & as Tina Turner sang 'Simply The Best'. R.I.P. Ivan.

Upright Speedway  6 years ago today we lost probably one of the greatest riders ever and I am so glad I actually got to see him race at my hometown club Newcastle Diamonds.
R.I.P Ivan.

RIP Tiger John Louis. It hit me like a blow. A friend with whom you shared a room for months in your youth in New Zealand in 1975 is no longer there. The whole speedway world knew this skyscraper who had come within a whisker of winning the world titel. Rest in peace John.
