Our executive director accepted an award on behalf of Freedom Virginia as a 2024 'Friend of Education'. We are so honored and enjoy being able to partner with Virginia Education Association on initiatives like tax fairness, raising teacher pay, & paid leave.

Today I was honored to accept the Virginia Education Association Legislative Champion award! I’ll continue to champion significant investments in our K-12 public education system to support our teachers & support staff, modernize our schools, and ensure students are excelling in the classroom.

When we return to Richmond next week, we’ll be fighting for a budget that helps deliver a world-class education to all students.

Our public schools set me on a path to be where I am today. That’s why it’s disheartening to see Gov. Youngkin’s amendments slash funding for K-12 public schools by close to $200 million for our highest-need schools. We need to invest in every student, regardless of zip code.
