The most dangerous threat to our Constitution and American democracy is MAGAs continued lies about the 2020 election.

Joe Biden won. Our elections are legitimate and secure.

Trying to destroy people’s faith in our democracy for short term political gain is contemptible.

We should want kids (and adults!) to read books and play musical instruments and make physical art and socialize with their friends.

Technology has been a boon for society but it’s not a replacement for life, for culture or for education. We have to resist this urge in schools.

Yesterday afternoon I enjoyed being at the Asian American Society of Central Virginia’s 26th annual Asian American celebration. Henrico and the Richmond area are home to many rich cultures and communities. And we are blessed to live in an area that welcomes and celebrates them.

30 years ago today, I won my first election to the Richmond City Council. It is the best feeling to still see people whose doors I knocked on to ask for their vote during that race.

It’s been quite a journey—and I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished standing up for Virginians.

Democrats stand up for rural communities. From passing seismic laws to expand broadband coverage to funding more job training in SWVA, we’re putting points on the board to make sure no community is left behind.
