Today we remember former Pipe Major Don MacInnes, who passed away 15 years ago today. Don first joined the pipe band in the 1960’s and in this photo, he leads the band at the 1997 Vancouver Police Ball. Rest peacefully Don.

Event Reminder: Pipes and Scrums is at 7 pm this evening at the Engineers Auditorium at 4333 Ledger Ave, Burnaby. Free Parking is available across the street or in the side lot, but a taxi or UBER may be a better option.

The pipe band was honoured to perform at the 27th annual, Washington State Law Enforcement Memorial Ball & Auction, last evening in Seattle. Attendees were saddened to hear that Wash State Trooper, Christopher Gadd was killed that morning in Marysville WA.

The VPD Pipe Band and the Justice Rugby Club are joining forces to host “Pipes and Scrums 2024” - a whisky tasting experience. Tickets may be purchased online at vpdpipeband.ca

We are pleased to be participating in the 50th Chinatown Spring Festival Parade, taking place this Sunday. The parade steps off at 11 am from the Millennium Gate on E. Pender and travels east to Gore before turning west along Keefer and back to Carrall. Kung Hei Fat Choi!

The pipe band was pleased to take part in this past summer's Tattoo in Basel Switzerland. This is a world class event, with top acts and a very polished presentation. Below is a link to the full tattoo performance that we hope you enjoy.
