Brief walk to Rainbow Corner had Great Northern Diver and 6 Arctic Terns WestMidsBirding
Arctic Tern through RSPB Middleton Lakes at 15:55 not seen since. Also distant Tern spec 4 Swallows 14 Sand Martins so far Staffs Bird News Mercian Birding West Midland Bird Club
As I was just leaving #BrandonMarsh Warwickshire Wildlife Trust around noon, three Arctic Terns dropped in. Big thanks to Dennis Woodward for the phone call.
A breezy 20km ride around the local patch this morning:
Kingsbury Water Park - c40 Sand Martin, 6x Swallow, 7x Willow Warbler across the park.
Kingsbury South, Mill Meadow - Cattle Egret (site first for me)

Draycotebirding an overdue visit today yielded 2 sandwich terns close to farborough bank plus bt diver and 2 gn divers, my first swallow of the year, and 7 goldeneye
3 Ring Ouzel (2+ male) landed in trees above my head calling before flying north at Turls Hill. Not sure if they departed site (lost behind trees)but sun had just come out #WestMidsBirds

Failed to locate the Black-throated Diver during today's WeBS count Draycote Water: 3 Great Northern Diver, Common Scoter, Goosander, Raven, 2+ Grey Wagtail, 2 Nuthatch and the first Common Sandpiper of the year. Draycotebirding WestMidsBirding Theo de Clermont

Green-winged Teal still Jubilee South RSPB Middleton Lakes Staffs Bird News Mercian Birding
Black-throated and 3 Great Northern Diver still Draycote Water but surprisingly elusive for long periods despite calling. Also, the now very flighty Common Scoter, 3 Goosander, 2 Siskin, Grey Wagtail and my first Willow Warbler of the year. Draycotebirding WestMidsBirding
Another 'pit-stop' visit Draycote Water: Black-throated & 1+ Great Northern Diver but didn't locate the Common Scoter among a flighty flock of Tufted. Also 4 Lapwing, 2 Oystercatcher, 2 Goosander, 2 Shoveler, Raven, 2 Nuthatch, Sparrowhawk and 4+ (probably double digit) Red Kite.
